BEFORE YOU GIVE NOTICE

Before giving notice, please ensure that your notice meets the legal requirements for ending your tenancy.
Under the Renters’ Rights Act, assured tenancies are periodic tenancies. This means that you can give notice to end your tenancy at any time, provided that the correct notice is given.

You must normally give at least 2 months’ written notice.
Your notice should end on your rent due date or the day before your rent due date.
You are responsible for paying the rent and complying with the terms of your tenancy until your tenancy legally ends.
You and your landlord may agree in writing to an earlier tenancy end date.
If you are unsure of the correct date for your notice to expire, please contact us before submitting your notice.

Please ensure that your notice provides the required notice period and clearly states the date on which you intend your tenancy to end. Once valid notice has been given, you remain responsible for the tenancy, including payment of rent, until the tenancy has ended.
