OUR BEGINNINGS WERE HUMBLE

About JSR Estates and Homelife Properties

Homelife Properties is a family-run, independent landlord business based right here in Southampton.
Our story goes back to the early 1970s, when our family first entered the property world in the UK and abroad. Since then, the business has been passed from father to sons, continuing the same values of honesty, reliability, and care.
Our current chapter began in 1998, when one of the sons purchased his first property on Alma Road — and we’ve been growing ever since.

We own and manage all of our own properties, specialising in rooms, bedsits, and one-, two-, and three-bedroom flats and houses across Southampton, including Highfield, Portswood, Ocean Village, Shirley, and the City Centre.
We’re proud members of the National and Southern Landlord Associations, My Deposits, the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) — giving our tenants confidence that they’re in safe and professional hands.

At Homelife, we believe good homes come with good people and good communication.
That’s why we’re known for our rapid response times to maintenance requests and our kind, fair approach to deposits — we rarely charge, and when we do, we keep costs as low as possible. Our job is to help tenants keep their deposits, not take them away.

We also proudly welcome tenants with pets and those receiving Universal Credit or PIP, because everyone deserves a safe and comfortable home.

The main faces you’ll meet at Homelife are Sam, Jay, Steven, and Louise, supported by a small team of friendly colleagues who work hard behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
